How to Fix poor GPS on MTK phones

 There is one common major problem with Mediatek powered Chinese phones and that is their GPS function. The main cause of the problem is the budget GPS chip as well as the lack of proper routing and implementation of antennas within the phone to facilitate a better signal and fix. Therefore, there are two solutions to go about improving the poor GPS performance. One would be a hardware fix whereby the phone will have to be disassembled to install an extended antenna. The other, which is what this article is going to cover, is a software fix where a few different phone functionalities will have to be activated to improve the GPS performance.

1. Delete a file which mtkgps.dat  (/data/misc)
2. Reboot
3. Go out into the open field
4. Enabled in the positioning GPS, EPO, A-GPS (you can download the new files EPO)
5. We go to the engineering menu * # * # 3646633 # * # *, select YGPS, bookmark Sattelites - and expect to be fixed in a few seconds, you can wait a little longer, until I was driving to work about 10 minutes looking at the green points
6. Exit the menu and engineering YGPS All. GPS should start normally. Previously, after a simple initialization through YGPS (without removing mtkgps.dat) first, too, everything worked (and not because the Wait), and in the evening - not at all. Now always works the same way.
If typed positive statistics for this procedure - consider GPS "repaired"

操作方式 【四個動作單鍵複製完成】
一、將學習型遙控器與被複製遙控器發射頭相對齊放好
二、用筆或牙籤戳住學習遙控器[SET]孔、直到LED燈號持續亮起後放開
三、按一下想要學習的按鍵[電源]，則LED燈將更亮
四、按住被複製遙控器的[電源]，直到學習型LED燈閃爍三下後放開，則學習拷貝完成
五、戳一下[SET]孔，燈滅即設定完成

HOW TO FLASH:

1. Download the necessary USB drivers
ZTE USB Driver
MTK Android USB Driver

2. Download Recovery.img
ClockworkMod Recovery v6.0.4.4 is current now

3. Download Rom
Max flavour 4.1 full/slim
signed gapps flavour complete or essential

4. SPflashtool recovry.img

5. Boot into CWM Recovery using the key combination Volume Down + Power button (hold it until it enters in recovery )

6. Inside recovery do the following
ipe Data / Factory Reset
Wipe Cache Partition
Advanced and Wipe Dalvik Cache

7. In the main menu , select "Install zip from SD Card " and select ZOM.zip

8.Reboot the phone (the first restart will take longer ) and that's it .
